The first quilt from the Bow Ties for Loss project is close to completion. This first quilt I accepted gray as a background color as well as a lot of purple bow ties. But all color bow ties were welcome. Each bow tie block measured 8″ x 8″ before sewing them together. I received enough blocks to assemble a twin size quilt for the family. A local quilter, Jessica from Desert Bloom Quilting, has donated her time and long arm services and the quilt will be going to her on Friday to get quilted. I never could have made it this far without all the wonderful donations in the form of quilt blocks, backing fabric, batting, and money. Thank you so much to everyone.
